- pollutes air
- uses a lot of water for cooling
- causes global warming
- by burning animal or plant based fuels
- ex: wood, straw, manure, plant based oils, and decaying natural materials
-animal or plant based fuels are burned to create thermal energy. It turns the water into steam. That is used to turn the turbine to create electricity/power.
- renewable because plant and animal waste is continuously being produced
- 2 ways to get biomass ; leftover biomass and growing bio fuel crops

- used a lot of water for cooling and may be used to grow biomass plant crops
- impacts air quality
- takes space for food crops
- causes global warming

I think this should be a source of electricity because it is a renewable resource that does not pollute as much as other resources. It also is basically everywhere so it is easy to get.
I believe that biomass should be used as a source of energy because biomass isn't toxic to the environment because it practically is the environment and if there were say a biomass fuel spill, it would be much less damaging than an oil spill.
