This is my preliminary production
of a school magazine:
And this is my finished music magazine media product:
I think that the difference between the school and music magazines are amazing, and that after all the research we did before starting the production made a massive difference.
For example, my skills with both photoshop
and QuarkXpress have both increased dramatically,
and I have learnt a lot about the use of both programmes
Even though I have had previous
experience with photoshop, I still learnt new
techniques that I could apply to this magazine.
For example manipulation
of the image
and the use of colours to
create specific connotations
Also with QuarkXpress, my skills using

For example:

My music magazine therefore:
Also, when we started the preliminary exercise, we had no audience. This meant that it was not targetted to anyone. This meant that there was little reasoning to do anything, it was more of a case of doing it.

Images
Content
And Tone
I.e. Informal, friendly, taboo language, colloquialisms
Both
Were made through spontaneous creativity alone
And had no evidence to support the decisions made
However with my music magazine there was much more
Such as:
This is how I feel that my media product has progressed, from the preliminary task to the music magazine
