Mise en scene
There was lots of mise en scene used in this documentary, at the beginning when he first travels there the reconstruction is in the airport which tells the audience where he is and what he’s planning on doing. Throughout most of the documentary when he is telling the audience what happened he is sat down in front of a grey background. Then later on in the documentary when he is smuggling the drugs he sin aging which proves it could have been peer pressure or maybe imply that it is the cool and in thing to do if everybody else is. Later on when he is in an interview room he is in a white room which shows how isolated he is and how alone he is yet to feel.
Camera work
Throughout most of the documentary, the camera work is just a mid shot of the man telling his story with a grey background behind him, then there is lots of cut away shots to reconstructions of what the man is explaining, he is the voice over in the background whilst the reconstruction is on. there is montage shots right at the beginning of the documentary to show what was going to happen in the documentary then it cut straight to a break, this is called an enigma code. When the man was handing drugs the camera would zoom right in to show the drugs close up and in detail.
Sound
When the man was with all his friends before he agreed to smuggle drugs the music was very mellow and calm but at the same time fun. Whereas when he agreed to smuggle the drugs and he was on his way to the airport the music got more intense and made me feel on edge whilst watching.
