We continuously strive for the most practical means to accomplish our work!

Pragmatics

Pragmatics is a branch of linguistics - the study of language. Pragmatics studies how words can be interpreted in different ways based on the situation.

We strive to remove ambiguous usage of language through frameworks, views, and viewpoints and their implicit usage defined through our methods.

Communicative Competence

Both the tacit knowledge of a language and the ability to use it.

A core competence of all Pragmatica Innovations employees...

[Noam] Chomsky accepts that language is used purposefully; indeed, in later writings he introduced the term pragmatic competence-knowledge of how language is related to the situation in which it is used. Pragmatic competence 'places language in the institutional setting of its use, relating intentions and purposes to the linguistic means at hand' (Chomsky, 1980).

As well as knowing the structure of a language, we have to know how to use it. There is little value in knowing the structure of: Can you lift that box? if you can't decide whether the speaker wants to discover how strong you are (a question) or wants you to move the box (a request).

Our methods provide pragmatic competence...

Pragmatica is derived from Pragmatics (linguistics), Practical (as opposed to idealistic), and Pragmatism (philosophical inquiry).

Innovations consist of key elements that disrupt or bring together various novel ideas to create a positive impact.

Pragmatism

Innovations

Pragmatism is a philosophical tradition that began in the United States around 1870. Pragmatism rejects the idea that the function of thought is to describe, represent, or mirror reality. Instead, pragmatists consider thought an instrument or tool for prediction, problem solving and action.

Pragmatists contend that most philosophical topics—such as the nature of knowledge, language, concepts, meaning, belief, and science—are all best viewed in terms of their practical uses and successes.

The term innovation can be defined as something original and more effective and therefore - new - that "disrupts" the market.

We have accomplished this through synthesis of innovative processes, services, products and solutions that are infused in the way we work and what we provide to our clients.

Architectonic Construction

In general, the noun synthesis (from the ancient Greek "with" and "placing") refers to a combination of two or more entities that together form something new. The corresponding verb, to synthesize means to make or form a synthesis.

“Pragmatism was not a theory which special circumstances had led its authors to entertain. It had been designed and constructed, to use the expression of Kant, architectonically. Just as a civil engineer, before erecting a bridge, a ship, or a house, will think of the different properties of all materials, and will use no iron, stone or cement, that has not been subjected to tests; and will put them together in ways minutely considered, so, in constructing the doctrine of pragmatism the properties of all indecomposable concepts were examined and the ways in which they could be compounded.” (Peirce, 1907)

Bloom's taxonomy is a set of three hierarchical models used to classify educational learning objectives into levels of complexity and mastery. The three lists cover the objectives in cognitive, affective and sensory domains. The highest level of this taxonomy ends in synthesis or synthesizing - a critical high order cognitive function to enable an innovative company - Pragmatica Innovations.

Synthesis builds a structure or pattern from diverse elements; it also refers to the act of putting parts together to form a whole (Omari, 2006).

Pragmatica Innovations - a synthesis of practical innovation...

As in the doctrine of pragmatism, the Pragmatica Innovations team applies architectural rigor to all its solutions.
