Blogger was an instrumental technology during the planning process of my work. I used it effectively to document my initial findings and it was also convenient to return to my older posts and see what I had done so far.
The internet was also incredibly important during the planning and research stage of my coursework, it was here where I could access blogs and articles which shaped and inspired my own work. Engines such as Google were very useful at searching certain things and having the information collected in one place for me to browse.
I would not have been able to complete my research and planning phase without the use of social media. Sites such as Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat were where I gained instant feedback and it was much more informal so people were more willing to answer. It was also important, as this is where my target audience are and with the increased mobility of social media you can carry it anywhere, so this was incredibly useful for getting replies on the go. Video sharing platforms such as YouTube were also helpful and made it easy to link people to the video so they could provide some feedback.
All my footage for my music video was filmed on 2 DSLR Canon and Nikon cameras. These both filmed in HD meaning the overall quality of my finished quality were better than if I had used a lower quality or older camcorder. The majority of the images used on my ancillary products were also shot using the Canon DSLR meaning they were also high quality and there was no worry about pixelation or graininess when I was editing them. I also used the high quality camera on my iPhone 6 to take the large image on the advertisement poster as this was taken on a different day and I did not have access to the DSLRs, surprisingly, the quality was actually pleasantly surprising and it was definitely more portable than the big cameras.
I used this programme for all my image editing. Having using it last year for my music magazine, I was more confident, however I did have to frequently refer to YouTube tutorials and articles to help me as I sometimes found myself struggling, but I feel the end product was successful.
This programme was handy to create a board detailing my answer to another evaluation question, again it was simple to use as I could arrange the images and texts as I pleased.
Again I used social media at this stage, in a similar manner to the planning and research stage, which was to gather feedback regarding my finished products. I used YouTube again, however this was to upload my video so it could be easily viewed for feedback etc.
Of course, I used Prezi to answer this particular question as I find it to be a very easy website to use, to create fun and interactive forms of presentation. Similarly, Microsoft Powerpoint is also good at organizing information easily, so I also used it as a form of presenting my answers.
