First you need to think of a storyline for your film and what it is going to all be about, and then think about the audience of your film and the age group that is appropriate.You will need to think of aspects that will make people want to go to the cinema and actually spend their money on watching it.
development finance
This is where you are going to have to think about your financing and have to start to think about how you are going to have to start looking for people that will work for you.
exhibition
this is the stage where the film is first shown to the public via the film premiere and then shortly after sent to the cinimas
script development
marketing
this is the stage where you have to put your ideas together and start thinking about the script and the charachters that will be playing each part.and also get all the scripts written and printed out soo that the acters can learn their lines and prepare for the shoot.
this is when the distributors plan a way of the copies reaching the public in the best way possible.
sales
this is where the director finds a reliable source to distribute the copies of the finished film to the public.
the shoot
This is the stage where you put all your preparation together and film your stages in action so you have got all the footage and then it can be sent away for editing and become a film
post-production
this is one of the most important stages of the film making.this is the stage where the editing team get sent all the bare footage and then they add all the special effects and sounds to make the scenes more gripping and entertaining
packaging
This is where you will design what the dvd case is going to look like and what the cover is going to be. You will also have to order in all the cameras microphones e.t.c.And try to make the packaging relevant to the film itself.

Pre-production is the planning stage of your shoot, and occurs before the camera starts rolling. By creating storyboards, scouting locations, and figuring out the budget ahead of time, your production will be free of unnecessary worrys such as lighting and filming positions.
This is the stage of the film where you have to divide up your money into what you think needs more money spent on it, and also the cost of all the equipment, poduction costs and how much money you have to pay the actors/actress' and all the film crew e.t.c.
