I chose my costumes to appeal to my target audience. For example having a boy in a dress on the front cover represents gender equality. This means it will attract both men and women. It will also be appealing to my target audience age range as they like to do the unexpected rather than a pop target audience who are too young to understand the message behind the image.
My target audience is people age 12-25 so I used younger models (of the same age as the target audience) and represented modern views that would appeal to this age range rather than people with more old fashioned views.
My contents page also helps with this by having a picture of a tent in the masthead to replace the word, this attracts my target audience as its a bit quirky and different from the normal plain ''contents'' masthead
I attracted my audience by doing things that were different and would stand out to them.
I did this by doing things like having a man in a dress on the front cover with make up spread across his face, sticking his finger up.
My target audience is for both genders so I attracted them by showing symbols for gender equality and featured boys and well as girls in my product and used neutral colours.
Over all I think the entire vibe of my magazine helps attract my target audience of ''hipsters'' by being different from something the everyday consumer may come across in their every day life.
