The Charter of Rights and Freedoms

Fundamental Freedoms

One Freedom you have in Canada is Freedom of Speech, where you can say whatever you want to say.

Another Freedom you have in Canada is the freedom to practice your religion where ever we want because that is our right and we should let everyone know that we can be who we want to be.

We have freedom of thought, opinion and believes. So we can believe in what ever we want to beleive in this world and beyond. So in Canada you have the right to be whoever you want to be. But in other countries you don't have these right, the right to choose your religion or the freedom to say what you want to say.

An example of this, is from the book Iqbal who spoke up to the master, about how they were treated terribly.

Mobility Rights

Democratic Rights

Democratic Rights give you the Right to vote if you are or over the voting age. Also if you don't like the people who are running, you could run yourself. So you can run for whatever you want like leader. An example, is from The Boy Who Dared and how all the people who were over age voted for who they wanted as their Leader. I would sure like this in where I live the right to vote and run for leader if I was old enough, it sure sounds good. Doesn't this sound good to you at all because I think it is amazing.

Mobility Rights give you the right to move in, out. and around Canada without any trouble. Say if I wanted to move to Alberta from Calgary you could without having to deal with the government. So it would be amazing go to Alberta with all those western parts are, and not having to deal with the government, well it is a mighty big bonus. That would lift a huge weight off a lot of peoples shoulders. An example, of Mobility Rights is from the story the boy who dared and how they wouldn't let the German people move to somewhere else because the government wouldn't let them. Now what other rights and freedoms do we have in Canada?

What are Rights

What are Freedoms

Rights and

Freedoms

Rights, they are just that, rights. Things

you can do without getting in trouble with

the law. Like you can vote if over 18 because

we have rights. So if you are caught speaking

your language, and someone says stop it, tell

them about the rights that you have. We have

Rights, so get to know what ones you have.

Official Language Rights

Freedoms, the things you are free from. Like freedom of speech, you talk your way. Freedoms are freedoms, things you are free from like you are free to move from Calgary, to Alberta. Doesn't that sound good, so know your freedoms. You live in a world like that in Canada.

Legal Rights

Our official language rights, before we start I need to tell you what the Official Languages are. Our Official Languages are: English, and French. So there has to be a French, and English side to everything or a label that at least shows each language. Like how the carpets the master was selling the children were making. If those were in Canada there had to be a French and English label on each and every single carpet. I bet the Master would have made the Children put the labels on the carpets. That it is so very unfair to all those poor hard working Children.

Since you have legal rights you can't be searched for an invalid reason, the right to a fair and quick trial, you are also innocent until proven guilty. You are also free from a cruel and unusual punishment because that is your right! In most other countries it says that you are guilty until proven innocent. Like in Iqbal they thought the master was innocent, until he was proven guilty by those poor children who were his slaves. They were forced to work and be treated unfair. Don't you want Legal Rights, I do.

The 9 Right

and Freedoms

Why the Charter of Rights and Freedoms was created

1.) Fundamental Freedoms

2.) Democratic Rights

3.) Mobility Rights

4.) Legal Rights

5.) Official Language Rights

6.) Multicultural Rights

7.) Minority Rights

8.) Equality Rights

9.) Aboriginal Rights

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms was created to give

you the rights and freedoms you need in this place we call

Canada. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms was created so kings, and queens would not have to much power over the other people who were not in power. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms was sighned by Queen

Elizibeth the Second.

Multicultural Rights

Minority Language Education Rights

Conclusion

This allows everyone to speak their language whenever and whenever they want! Also everyone can learn any language that you want to learn. Also you can speak any language you want because we have Minority Language Education Rights! An example, is from the book Iqbal when all the children sat in a circle and taught each other their languages. I thought it was very kind of them to let each of them learn a different language especially some of their friends. So if they ever went to each others countries they could speak to the locals that live there. What is another right or freedom we have?

Multicultural Rights say that no race can be discriminated, or not included. It also means that everyone no matter what race or anything have to be included in all games, or anything else. So an example, is from Jacobs Rescue and how the German did not let the Jews live in Germany or play games with them. Another example, is from The Boy Who Dared, and how the teacher discriminated a child in the class who was Jewish, and no one would even talk to him or let him play with them. That is so mean and every child has the right to play with each other, no matter what race they are. Those would never happen in Canada now since we have The Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Now you know all your rights, so use them and remember them as long as you live in Canada. These are your Rights and Freedoms according to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Thank you for watching my very first Prezi that I have ever made

Equality Rights

Aboriginal Rights

Equality Rights say that men and women are equal even though they don't show it that much it is true we are equal and everyone should know that! Also everyone has the right to marry whomever they want and they have to allow it because we have the right! One example, is from Iqbal and even though the master treated the children terribly he treated the boys and girls alike. I am not saying I agree with how they were treated its just that they weren't saying that girls were treated better than the boys they were treated equally. Now the last right is next.

Aboriginal Rights give the aboriginals the right to hunt and fish freely on their land which is called crown land. Also they don't have to pay tax but only on their land. Aboriginals the rights they have are good, and great that they exist because we took some of their land from them so we could live our well they lived the way they wanted to live. I mean why would we want to change their ways when we can just live our own ways in different places. Aboriginals are who we have to thank for the land they gave us, so they have these rights. These are the nine Rights and Freedoms.
