Marina Barrage
The Marina Barrage is a dam built across the 350-metre wide Marina Channel to keep out seawater, forming Singapore's first reservoir in the city and 15th reservoir.
The Marina Reservoir provides 10% of the water of Singapore's water usage.
First, the green roof is made of 100% recycled plastics and eco-friendly drainage cells.
Also, the large rooftop garden also provides natural heat insulation for the building.
Secondly, there's the Solar Park. It is one of the largest collection of solar panels in Singapore. 50% of the daytime electricity are used for indoor lighting and powerpoints in the barrage.
