Note: My grandmother's sister, Beth threw her love letters down the well in Mississippi. My grandmother fished them out & read them while watering the lawn. Beth's letters remind me of all the stories my grandmother has told me, this one being a favorite.

I am from the Dogwood trees, the Pine needles and bark covered in sticky, gluey sap.
Mode - Prezi was one of the first digital tools we were introduced to and the “I am from…” poem was one of the first pieces I wrote during the ASWC SI. This is a shadow poem, modeled from George Ella Lyon's.
Media - Although Prezi is supposedly meant to be used with narration, I believe this piece stands alone and that this format is appropriate. It allows the reader to concentrate on the words more than if written in a linear traditional form. There are also images that enhance the meaning, especially for those unfamiliar to things referenced, like to hot air balloons.
Audience - Anyone
Purpose - Getting to know me, the author.
Situation - In this case, the situation is the same as the purpose. It was a simple poem and used in my exploration of learning how to use Prezi as a digital tool.
