  • The memeory cards were vital as they contained all our footage.
  • We used the card reader to transport all our footage from our memory cards to our hard-drives when editing.
  • All our behind the scenes were filmed with the flip camera. Also we used it when creating a record of our editing.
  • The camera was used the video therefore it was most important.
  • Still cameras were used to take photos for the digipak advertisement.
  • The apple macs were used to edit both video and the digipak advertisements.

This allowed me to keep a record of all the processes during the making of my video and ancillary products. For example, all my planning and research was recorded on blogger. My ideas and influences were placed on the the site as a way of me remembering my ideas and it helped me keep all my work in one place. Blogger was used like a diary as it allowed me to remember my ideas and also recorded how everything was going.

Blogger is open to all media platforms so I was able to embed youtube clips and prezi's for example.

When researching, this provided the best information, as it allowed me to have access to various music videos to draw inspiration from. Youtube is also useful because it recommends videos based on your searches therefore it quickens this research process whilst showing me other videos I was unaware about.

I used wikipedia to search the typical themes in hip hop videos. I did background reseach into hip hop artists and music video directors.

I used this program to create my digipak and advertisement. I was able to add effects to images, download various fonts and choose different colours and background textures. For example, I had to crop out my artists from the original image as they had shadows that I didn't want on the background.

After drawing a storyboard I was able to turn it into a animatic. This would allow us to film according to our storyboard. We didn't follow all our shots in our story board. For example, instead of a CD turning a still image to life we used a TV.
