**Note that FILMED performance is always the same, but LIVE performance constantly changes actors, arenas, and quality of performance**

Performers
- Intended to be performed by one or more singers/vocalists, usually with instrumental accompaniment
- ANY genre of music that uses words, is considered vocal music
- Artists who participate in the performing arts in front of an audience
- This includes:

- Comedians
- Dancers
- Musicians
- Singers
- PERFORMING- the act of performing is doing something successfully; acting in a manner that takes physical/mental skill, talent, and practice
- ARTS- the products of human creativity & imagination
- PERFORMING ARTS- vocal music, instrumental music, drama, and dance in a relationship between performers & an audience, conceived by an artist and performed for an audience
