Yes, in france.

-He claimed the Mississippi River Basin for France (He gained France a new territory)

-He helped establish French Forts in North America.

-He spent about half of his life exploring since he was sent by King Louis XIV

EFFECTS

Political: They gained more relations with the natives.

Society's Effect: Europeans got illnesses in North America and the Indians got shot by europeans.

Economic Effect: France gained an enormous amount of land including all the rivers and streams that were in Mississippi and all the lands in between. France later sold Louisiana to the United States.

1678: He came back to Canada , built a ship called the Griffon ,and explored western part of New France.

1977: Returned to france

1681: He and about forty of his men headed to the Mississippi river again..

1682: They traveled from the Mississippi River and later reached the Gulf Of Mexico.They claimed all the land along the Mississippi River for France.

1684-1687-La Salle lead an expedition to further explore the southern end of the Mississippi river and the Gulf of Mexico

1683: La Salle returns to France

1687- Many of the men were unhappy about this

expedition and assassinated La Salle in Texas.
