What is the role of the individual in creating and sustaining change?

Change is usually caused by the actions of an individual. One person can influence a thousand more to support their cause. Both President Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin D. Roosevelt have made an impact on American society through individual change. Not only did they create change, they also maintained the change they created throughout their presidency.

- Instituted the Anti-trust

campaign to limit and reduce the influence of monopolies on the economy. With this leverage, monopolies could then determine consumer prices, which at times were unfair. Teddy took his campaign nationwide by going on many tours and making speeches about his cause.
