how to communicate
effectively
for maximum success.
How will we
communicate
in this classroom?
Small group discussions, class discussions (these are graded), writing...all different styles...from formal, typed essays to text message style, and reading.
Late work policy: one day late - grade no higher than 89; two days late - grade no higher than 70; three days late - grade no higher than 50. No exceptions.
Make up work: Ask your neighbor, then me if your neighbor can't help you. If you're not absent, you won't have make up work :)
Technology and computers: I like to use a lot of different programs/cloudware, so have fun with your projects. If you have an idea that's not part of the assignment, let me know.
Electronic device policy: don't use your music device or cell phone in my class. I will take it up and turn it in to your principal.
Consequences:
1. student/teacher conference
2. phone call/email home
3. referral
Neccessary supplies include:
a one inch binder, or a section of your binder, paper, pen, pencil and four different colored highlighters. You will use the highlighters frequently, even on tests. Please don't rely on a friend to supply you with these.
