Rock On

I think i attracted the particualar audience i was

aiming for, from the use of pictures, the use of colours,

and the layout of the magazine. I think this because i used very uni-sex colours such as red, which i believe would attract both female and male readers, which i was aiming for. Before deciding what would attract my particular audience i had to annatate and analysis some different magazines that belonged in different genre's.

My magazine 'Rock On' represent's a particular social group from the style of my magazine. The fact that it is all about rock, heavy/soft rock, alternative rock etc. I think that my magazine brings across the fact it's meant for people in this particular social group, as i doubt you would see a Justin Bieber Fan pick up this particular magazine.

I have learnt that there are other ways of editing pictures on photoshop, and it has been proved to be the most difficult technological process that i have used so far. i have also been introduced to blogger, which is where we all had to set up an account and post bit by bit what we have been doing in our coursework. Every step we did to build up to the final bit of our coursework we had to post it onto blogger, i again had a bit of difficulty with this new website we had to use, but eventually got used to it, and i am able to use it without any help. I have now been recently introduced to this new website, prezi, it has been quite confusing to use, but once i have had a little play around with prezi i have learnt new ways to do a presentation, for instance this presentation. Overall i have learnt quite a few things about technology in the process of doing my coursework, new technology that i wouldnt of used before.

I would say that it is the same as any other media product in the terms that it attracts it's target audience, it has the same aims, to sell to a particular social group. I think it has the same sort's of featires as any other real media products, such as compared to a real magazine, it has photo's, events etc, everything someone would want to know in that particular target audience. Also with editing pictures, all magazines that target the same audience i was aiming for, has lot's of pictures, to interest the readers, in a certain manner, which i think i have acheived.

I have learnt how to use different forms of editing, for example photoshop, although it was difficult to use at first it soon became easier the more i used it, but i have also learnt how stressful it could be at the beginning of using photoshop. I've learnt how different colours, pictures, font etc can influence what audience would buy a particular magazine.

My magazine would be highly sold in music places, such as HMV, this is a very

well-known place, so i would of thought that many of my target audience would

go here, as this is a place of a wide variety of music, it is a very popular place

where people go to get cd's, music magazines, DVD's etc, so no doubt it will be seen, also thought as good, as HMV has the good reputation, anything that would be sold there would be good for business.

The target audeince would be, both females and male readers, aged from about 16 to 20, if not a little bit lower, as although many different ages may like this sort of music, and be interested in the music etc there is an limit to what age i think it should be. I believe that the audience would be people that like to listen to rock, whether it be heavy, quite soft, alternative rock, this would be the magazine for them!
