  • Hercule's had 12 tasks. Including capturing Cerberus and slaying the Nemean lion.
  • Before he ran away Hercules shot him with a poisoned arrow. Before he died he told hercules's wife to take some of his blood. He said that if Hercules was unfaithful, this blood would restore his love.
  • He found out that if he sliced of his head two more would grow back.

Hercules's story!

  • Hercules got married to Deianeira.
  • Hercules was told to kill Hydra.
  • Hercules killed his 6 sons because his mom Hera made him go mad because she was jealous that she was not his mom.
  • He felt really bad and Delphi told him to serve under King Eurystheus. It said if he did 10 tasks for him he would be imortal.
  • Hera raised Hydra to kill Hercules.
  • One day a centaur offered to ferry them across a river, but he tried to kidnap Deianeira
  • Eurystheus forced Hercules to do ten labors. He did them, but Eurytheus did not accept two of them because he got help. He forced him then to do two more.
  • He was confronted by Hydra and tried to slice of his head.

5. To Clean the Augean stables in a single day.

6. Kill the Stymphalian Birds.

7. Capture the Cretan Bull.

8. Steal the Mares of Diomedes.

9. Obtain the girdle of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons.

10. The tenth was obtain the cows of the monster Geryon.

11. Steal the apples of the Hesperides

  • Hercules's strengths are being brave, strong, and determined.
  • Many years later Hercules was suspected of falling in love with another woman.

  • She spread some of the blood on a cloak and sent it to him.
  • He finally cut of his one immortal head and hid it. He then dstroyed his body.

  • When Hercules returned Eurytheus was so scared of Cerebus that he promised to give him immortality if he returned Crebus to the underworld and free him from his labors.
  • This myth is called the labors of Hercules.
  • Hercules did tasks for Eurystheus. This was his role
  • The moral of the story is get to the base of your problem or it will not go away.
  • He told his friend to build him a pyre. He gave his bow and arrows to him and burned himself to death on the pyre. After this Zeus turned him into a god.
