Production Skills Coming Into Play

Using Techniques

For thie opening, the quick shot counter shots and flashback effects are what made the opening scene progress and gives it a certain amount of intensity

  • Using the basic knowledge I already had on editing and filming made things a bit less stressful
  • Having access to the right resources with previous notes and other media related assignments helped with trial and error in the making of the film
  • Knowing specific filming and editing terminology assisted in better explaining the shots I intended on getting to my two actresses and in my group meetings with other students

Representation

In this film, I wanted to specifically address the LGBT community. Focusing more so on the group of kids/ young adults that are constantly faced with the struggles of having to lie and hide who they are to their family and friends.
