They are a sole organization of the advertising industry in the UK. It cannot have any effect/enforce any legal action.

Funding: The ASA is funded by advertisers through an arrangement that guarantees their independence.

W3C - World Wide Web Consortium.

They have to regulate all aspects of the WWW. Because the world of technology is increasingly growing, they have to also regulate the devices which are using the internet. Phones, tablets, laptops and other devices all use the internet and W3C have to regulate the use of the internet via the devices.

This consists of the full time working staff and the public, working together to develop web-based standards that must be followed.
