STEVIE'S MASTERPIECE
- Born with heart condition, Aortic Stenosis, that occurs due to the narrowing of one's aortic valve (hint hint the reason why I used the vital sign template for this ;))
- It's not easy nor fun having a disease. You feel "abnormal", alone, and isolated
- I chose to do my masterpiece in a way where I made the kids who struggle with an illness, like me, feel as if they weren't "weird" or "different". My main goal was to simply make the childrens' days and make them feel special and loved
I thank God every day for the life I live, that I can still be active w/ my condition, & most of all that I am still alive!

MAKING A DIFFERENCE....
Because our S.M. Pediatric Unit is fairly new and small there were only two kids I could hand the bags to but unfortunately were in surgery at the time. SO, the left over bags will be given to kids who come in soon and receive care! The two who received them after their surgeries that day were very excited when given the bags and the parents thanked me repeatedly!
I am so glad my masterpiece went the way I aimed it to and I will savor this memory and amazing feeling of achievement for a long time. I was so glad to know that the children felt important and special after receiving my bags!!

Visit our local Pediatric Unit and handout goody-bags, interact with the children, make them feel important, etc,
Coloring books, Crayons, stickers, bears, and wash cloths!! :)
- From my extreme experiences and knowledge in the medical field, I have chosen to pursue a career in Cardiology in my near future to give back to my community and all who have helped me in my journey!
- I hope you learned a lot today about me and as well as how easy it is to make not only yourself feel good but others!!
- ******Over the summer, I plan to do this again but to a further extent and at a St. Jude's Hospital. If anyone is interested and would like to join email me or comment to my blog!!
