This is your mission, if you choose to accept it.

Vigilate et discite!

Many people view the watching of anime a waste of time. The V.I.A. has an answer for those haters. All of our agents learn valuable lessons through watching, giving anime a value that cannot be disputed.

“Area51” provides agents and the public alike with a list of high quality shows and series

The organization allows agents to come together as a community and enjoy anime with each other

Until the Newsletter is up and running, the review is submitted to the Director for a quick lookover and posted to “Area51”

When the Newsletter is running, the review will be sent to the editors to be checked over and in addition to being posted in Area 51, will be featured in the Newsletter

All agents who take part in a review will be credited at the end of the review

The V.I.A. is an organization that finds the value in every anime.

“Why do we watch anime?”

We here at the V.I.A. watch to better ourselves. Each show offers us a new perspective, lesson, or underlying message that justifies our hours poured into it.

How to Join

How the V.I.A. Works

The V.I.A.

The Shoujo Division is for agents who prefer the shoujo genre of anime

The same applies for the Shounen and Seinen/Josei Divisions

These divisions exclude any anime with a R rating

This organization is open to all to join

To receive a card however, you must join one of our many divisions.

The three departments are

Langley- Agents who help run the club

Field Agency- Agents who review most anime

Special Teams- Agents who will review anime with unique characteristics

Agents watch anime of all kinds, despite genre, release date, and even rating, searching for the redeeming qualities within each show.

A review, developed by several agents, is created and posted under the myanimelist.net account “Area51.”

This review is an honest critique of the show, coupled with the lesson, moral, or message it portrays.

Vigilate et discite!

Have Fun

Division Officer recruits up to 5 agents from the Reserves and along with his/her Division decides which anime to watch

Anime is watched from beginning to end

If the series was already completed by an agent, it is highly recommended said agent re-watches the show to better contribute to the discussion

Agents will converse, developing a standard review of the show (Characters, Art, Sound, etc.) and include the lessons learned from the show

The Marathon Division handles any anime longer than 100 episodes in length

The Graveyard Division takes care of anime that have a myanimelist.net rating under 7.25

The Rapidfire Division watches and reviews anime movies, and short TV/OVA series

The Classics Division is tasked with the reviewing of any anime series that was created before 2004

Common Agents (To Start, 20 for Field Agency, 15 for Special Teams per Division, As many as possible for reserves)

After joining a Division (other than Reserves), agents propose anime to watch to the Officer, who will determine the group consensus

Following the deadlines created by the Officers, agents will complete the assigned anime and form an honest review with what they believe is the moral of the story

Through debate and discussion, the Division review of the anime will be agreed upon and submitted to “Area51”
