What is it?

There are a new range of programs

and software appearing all over the

internet, designed as alternatives to

typicaly desktop based programs.

So whats so good about these tools?

They help to break through the limitations

of the desktop and let you be part of....

The Big Wide World!!!!!!

via the internet that is....

This enables you to access your work, and the software to use it from any internet connected machine. Today we even have mobile phones able to view the internet, so these programs can be used on the move.

Im going to focus

on a certain one,

and well

its this!!

So what is prezi?

Well its a web based presentation software,

designed as a easy to access, and alternative to using

microsoft powerpoint, which can at times be a little

bit too harsh and business looking.

Prezi is a little more simple looking, more fun to use

and has a different warmer feel to the way things move on. It has a more open, smoother flow. Not being restricted to the edge of your page template....

Well anyone really.... thats the advantage of this,

it can be utilised by a variaty of people in many different ways

for example:

So i will now give you an example situation where prezi may be used.

Scenario

The Old Orange company has been making a range of fruit juices for many years, but want to get upto date with the new generation of consumers. They are looking for a company who can revamp and re-invent there company to appeal to the younger more health conscious market of today. They are inviting several advertising companys to come and pitch there ideas, the winning one gets the contract and the big pay that goes with it.

Now here comes in advertising company x, they have produced a range of idea's, slogans and logo's, and have arranged there whole presentation using microsoft powerpoint. Very formal, very informative..... just like the 10 other companys who were before them.

Then it comes along to company Y, they have all there range of logo's, slogan's and idea's, but they have used "prezi" to display there presentation. The presentation is more fun, words zooming in and out, points put accross, but keep going back to a single image, there new image for the company. The interviewing company are noticing the info more, wondering whats next....... Why?

Because they were different, they stood out, they were trying to sell a more fun and fresh product, by using a fun and fresh tool. Which in this case won them the contract. Yey for company Y!!!

So that was prezi, a powerfull, yet simple tool, that one day may become as common as microsoft powerpoint.

So who would use it?

The whole page is yours to use as much as you want,

A teacher giving a presentation to there students, but wanting to keep it fun and interesting.

A student wanting to express there ideas on a project.

Or a company pichting ideas for a certain subject or product.
