Conclusion

Discoveries and breakthroughs inside science

Introduction

I chose this genre of scientific discoveries in chemistry because I'm a student of this area and then I think it is very interesting and important for the world.

Chemistry is a science that wins a central and essential place in all subjects of human knowledge. It relates to other sciences like Biology, Environmental Science, Physics, Medicine and Health Sciences. With this and other sciences is possible to get necessary knowledge and then you can find out cures of some diseases and sometimes, discover new ways to do something better without causing harm to the environment and humans. I chose four chemistry's breakthroughs for talking about and I hope you all enjoy it.

The 3rd one

Fuel Up For Less with Green Gas

A biotechnology company is developing an organic energy source made from, among other things, human waste. Experts say it would be cheaper, better for the environment and possibly coming to a gas station near you in the not too distant future.

At Kettering University’s innovation center in Flint, Michigan, biochemists are studying all types of organic waste to find the highest energy producers. Tom Guise is a bioengineer, and CEO of Swedish biogas, a company that is opening the first waste-to-energy test plant in the United States in partnership with Kettering. Biogas production starts with wet, organic material as the base.

The fourth one

Fog-Free Glass

MIT researchers (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) have developed a new anti-fog glass coating that can transform water droplets into smooth transparent sheets of water. The coating can be used on everything from car windows, bathroom mirrors, eyeglasses, ski goggles, underwater masks, and inside car headlights to prevent fogging.

Chemistry is a science that covers all transformations of materials and corresponding theories and because with this, it be directly connected with the development of humanity.

Thank you!

The first one

CSI: X-Ray Fingerprints

Scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory have developed a new fingerprint visualization technique using X-rays that leaves prints intact and reveals chemical markers that could give investigators new clues for tracking criminals and missing persons. Traditional fingerprinting methods involve treating samples with powders, liquids, or vapors to add color to the print, so it can easily be photographed. This process is known as contrast enhancement. However, dusting for fingerprints can sometimes alter the prints, erasing valuable forensic clues. Children's fingerprints are especially difficult to detect.

The 2nd one Building Better Batteries

Everyone knows the frustration of having a battery die right when you need it. Now researchers have created a new battery with more power, so you can talk, type, or even drive longer.
