However, it can be argued that Romeo + Juliet has had a significant amount of influence on pop culture, effecting future Hollywood renditions as well as theatrical productions around the world.
DiCaprio was a pushing force in bringing back time period pieces in film. Many of his films inspire many aspects of pop culture. For example The Great Gastpy has influenced fashion very heavily as well as The Aviator.
The Wolf of Wall Street is one of DiCaprio's movies that is known by most, earning Oscar nominations for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Writing, and Best Directing. Based on a true story of Jordan Belfort, DiCaprio plays a wealthy stock-broker as he rises and falls from being involved in crime and corruption. This is another film that people believed DiCaprio was "snupped" for the Oscar.
