The Longitude of New Mexico is 103 degrees West to 109 degrees West. The latitude of New Mexico is 20 degrees North to 37 degrees North. New Mexico is roughly bisected by the Rio Grande.

Archaeoloigists found existence of natives back to approximately 9200 BC. Clovis hunted a big game from 11,000 to 9200 BC. Congress created original territory of New Mexico in 1850. New Mexico became a U.S territory as part of the Gadson Purchase in 1853. New Mexico became a state on January 6, 1912. On July 16, 1945 the worlds first atomic bomb was tested at the Trinity Site in Central New Mexico.
