PLEXTALK POCKET (MODEL PTP1) PLEXTALK PORTABLE RECORDER (MODEL PTR2) REALSPEAK SOLO REALSPEAK WORD The Plextalk Portable Recorder, model PTR2, is a digital talking book player and recorder designed for use by individuals who are blind or have a low vision. This unit can record DAISY 2.02 books and audio file or music CDs, and can play DAISY titles, music and audio files CDs, and CF cards. RealSpeak Solo is a speech synthesizer program designed for use by product developers to provide voice output for individuals who are blind or have low vision or learning disabilities. This text-to-speech program is scalable from 8 to 20 megabytes (MB) for embedded applications up to 100 MB for desktop applications. RealSpeak Word is a speech synthesizer and voice output dictionary program designed to provide voice output for electronic talking dictionaries. The dictionary developer can embed this text-to-speech program in a dictionary product to provide voice output via a coding-by-synthesis architecture that requires no recording, and uses just 3 magabytes (MB) of read-only memory (ROM) to cover as many as 600,000 words. Lecture # 3 ICT and SPED Plextalk Pocket, model PTP1 is a portable digital recorder and electronic talking book player designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision or learning disabilities. This pocket sized unit plays Daisy-format digital talking books, music CDs, MP3 CD's, and audio books on CD. SPEECHSTREAM SpeechStream is a voice option program designed for use by publishers to provide access to textbooks and other written material for students with learning disabilities. This program embeds auditory and visual resources within publisher's content to improve retention, comprehension, and recall. Pocket Discovery Desktop Pocket Discovery Desktop is a computer desktop software program designed for use by individuals with cognitive disabilities. this application sits on top of the Pocket PC interface to provide simplified access to other application. Assistive Technology POINT-AND-CHAT Point-and-Chat is an instant messaging program designed for use by individuals with communication or speech disabilities. This software allows users of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) devices to apply their AAC skills to produce written messages, even if the user cannot read. POINTSMART PointSmart is a mouse modification software designed for use by individuals with upper extremity, neurological, or severe physical disabilities or spinal cord injury. This software program enables the user to slow down the speed of the cursor. Other features include Automatic Direction Control, which allow users to touch or bump the pointing device in the direction they wish the cursor to move and the cursor will continue to move until the mouse is touched again and then it will stop. STREETTALK VIP StreetTalk VIP is a voice output electronic mobility aid designed for use by individuals with blindness and low vision. Designes to be installed on the PAC Mate Omni, provides route guidance to users in vehicles or on foot. SWITCHMOUSE USB SwitchMouse USB is a mouse emulator and switch or joystick input interface designed for use by individuals with upper extremity or severe physical disabilities or spinal cord injury. this interface allows the users to connect switches to any computer to operate various computer programs by translating switch activation into mouse clicks or button depressions.
