The most inspiration
leader of them all! Gandhi What did he do? (Monhandas K.) Gandhi spent 20 years
defending the rights of immogrants in South
Africa. In 1914 he returned to India and became
the leader of the Indian National Congress.
He believed in non-violence, of which there was a
lot at the time. He thought that disobedience
against the British, who ruled that country. He demonstrated many acts of defiance which
landed him in prison many times. He stood up for what he believed in and took part in many post
war negotiations for independence against
England. How did he start out? Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 in a
coastal town part of the Bombay Presidency. His father was a hindu, and taught his son these preachings. Gandhi was part of an arranged marriage at the age of 13 when he married Kasturbai Makhanji, who was only 14. When his father died he was much to nervous to win a court case about his death as he had only just started his career in politics, ha hadn't quite mastered public speaking by Later years On the 30th January 1948 Gandhi, unfortunately, was assinated. This happened whilst he was walking to a platform to speak at a prayer meeting. The assassin, Nathuram Godse, was a hindu nationalist and believed he was responcible for "weakening" India. Prior to his death there were five unsuccessful attempts to kill the inspirational man, all for political or Why do people love him? He delivered many speeches at the beginning of his career, with much help
from his wife. People started to recognise him and his work. At his first speech he was driving to the auditorium when a bomb was thrown at him and exploded extremely close to the car, at this point Gandhi knew what he was getting himself into. But he knew his cause was just and he knew he needed to do it. He brought freedom and hope into a country which was being ruled by people who did not care for those they
ruled. this time. religious beliefs Inspiartional Quotes "An eye for at eye leaves the whole world blind " "A man is but the product of his thoughts, what he thinks, he becomes" "You must be the change you wish to see in this world" "The weak can never forgive, forgiveness is an attribute of the strong" "Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth" "An ounce of practise is worth more than tons of preaching" "In a gentle way, you can shake the world" "Nobody can hurt me, without my permission" Gandhi changed the world in his own peaceful way. As he once said "in a gentle way, you can shake the world" and he did so. His inspirational teachings and motivating preachings brought freedom and hope into a country where there was none. And although, now he has passed, his words still hang on our lips and we still believe his ways of living. His natural radiance shone out and has changed many a people. Unfortunately, with every great leader comes great haters. A few handful of people disagreed with Gandhi and as a result made it there meaning in life to make sure he was dealt with. But that one day that Gandhi was assassinated, the whole world mourned and the whole world carried on his preachings. Making him one of the most inspirational leaders the world has been blessed to see. Gandi
