Transcript of Engelsk - præpositioner

Præpositioner uden that
og infinitiv Præpositioner
minus that

Præpositionen udelades I visse tilfælde når præpositionen er uden større betydning, eks.: I am sure that the Statue of Liberty is a woman. (sure of)

She was afraid that she had spent too much money. (afraid of) 2. Præpositionen følges af ing-form Hvis præpositionen ikke kan udelades: Why couldn’t people just leave things alone, instead of wanting to change. (The red line)

This anthology of texts about living in New York (…) (Preface New York) 3. Udtryk som the fact, the possibility eller it tilføjes mellem præpositionen og that-sætningen: WOOOW In spite of the fact that most relationships in big cities are superficial, he had a single good friend.

We shall see to it that you will be safe in the big city. Undtagelser:
Except (=med undtagelse af)
In (=derved, fordi) She was afraid of everything except of women.

He was successful in that he had a well-paid job in New York. 1. Han ville hellere blive i metroen i stedet for at spørge om hjælp.
2. Denice var bange for at tage metroen alene.
4. Datteren var bange for at blive bagt.
