Where is it believed to be?
According to Plato a temple in the middle of Atlantis had a statue of Poseidon Driving six winged horses.
Plato had also said Atlantis had Lots of architecture and engineering, with many canals and that in the middle of Atlantis was a hill with a temple to Poseidon
Is it just a story?
For two thousand years Atlantis was just a story, Until the late 1800's when a american named Ignatius Donnelly became interested in the story and had made a book about it which was called Atlantis the Antediluvian World which became a big hit. He believed Atlantis had sunk due to natural causes, Since then many stories have been written about Atlantis.
In The end, there is no ideas of what for sure Atlantis looks like or if anything Plato said was even true, we never know, maybe tomorrow Atlantis will be found, or maybe it may take years until someone finds it. Until then the story of the lost city of Atlantis remains a mystery

What Is It? Does it exist? Are there rumors where it is? who wrote about it? all good questions i will answer today, so what am i doing? i will be doing my project on the lost city of Atlantis! i picked this topic because i thought it would be interesting to learn about this unsolved mystery,

What Is it? The lost city of Atlantis is a
legendary island first mentioned in Plato's dialogues Timaeus and Critias, written in 360 BC.
Some say Atlantis still remains, Yet some say
it is all a myth. It was believed to have sank
into the Ocean and to this day has not been found. so where is it believed to now be? well i'm going to tell you.
The story of Atlantis had been written about by a greek philosopher named Plato. he had planned to have made books about the creation of earth, the story of Atlantis, and some other topics, sadly only the first book was finished, half of the second was written, and the third had never been started. so were his stories true? nobody knows for sure yet if Plato was right about anything.

A crew might have found Atlantis buried under mud flats in Spain, Scientists believe that Atlantis is submerged just north of Cadiz. Atlantis has remained a mystery for thousands of years, and now a U.S led research team thinks it maybe has found the lost city of Atlantis.
How did it sink?
a team of archaeologists and geologists are convinced that Atlantis had been swamped
by a tsunami, it was also believed to have
sunk when a wave flooded it, and also said was the gods sent "one terrible night of fire and earthquakes" that caused Atlantis to sink into the sea.
Poseidon is the god of the sea,earthquakes,storms,and horses.According to Plato he had a temple on top of Atlantis. He is also called "Earth Shaker" from his role of causing earthquakes. His symbols are Trident, Fish, Dolphin, Horse and Bull, And has 5 siblings and seven children.

How bad could a storm Like that be?
scientists wanted to understand
the power of a storm large enough to sink Atlantis, so they compared it to one of the most historic storms In Krakatoa in 1883, the storm was very powerful a giant tsunami which was 120 feet high killed 36,000 people, and the explosion could be heard from 3,000 miles away
