Transcript of Prophet Musa (PBUH)

Because of fear, he ran away into the desert where he found a group of people giving water to sheep. There he saw two women who were struggling to get water. He decided to help.
Phiroun got a vision from a jinn that his kingdom was going to be overthrown by a boy from the Bani Israeel. He killed the all of the newborn Bani Israeel boys, but Loha (Musa (PBUH)s mother) put him in a basket and into a nearby river. He floated into the palace of Phiroun.

Prophet Musa
Musa (PBUH) grew up to be a very strong man. One day he saw an Egyptian who was fighting with someone from the Bani Israeel so Musa (PBUH) tried to stop the Egyptian by pushing him away, but Musa punched the man and accidentally killed him. The man’s family found out and complained to Phiroun.
Musa (PBUH) got the water for them. The two women invited him to come to their house. When he reached the womans' house he met their father, Prophet Shuayb (PBUH). He made a deal with Musa (PBUH) to marry one of his daughters and have Musa (PBUH) work for him for ten years. Musa (PBUH) agreed and married Prophet Shuayb's daughter,
Safura.
One day Musa (PBUH) started feeling homesick and decided he should go back to Egypt with his new family. During their journey Musa (PBUH) saw a fire in the distance, so he told his family to stay where they were as he approached it. When he got close enough he didn’t see anybody, just saw a burning tree. Then he heard a voice. It was Allah (SWT). Allah (SWT) then told him that he was a Prophet.
Prophet Musa (PBUH) told Allah that he feared Phiroun and told him that he wanted his brother to be a Prophet with him. His brother Haroon (PBUH) was now a Prophet as well. Allah showed Prophet Musa (PBUH) two miracles. He told him to drop his cane on the ground. Then his cane turned into a snake, Allah told him to pick it up again and it turned back into his stick. Then Allah told him to put his right hand under his left armpit and told him to pull his hand out. When he took it out it was glowing.
Prophet Musa (PBUH) and Prophet Haroon (PBUH) set out with their families to Phiroun. When they went to Phiroun, they preached to him to become Muslim, but he was too arrogant and said he was God. Prophet Musa (PBUH) then showed him the miracles and told him that they were from Allah. Phiroun was still not satisfied, so he made a contest and chose his best magicians to perform against Prophet Musa (PBUH).
On the day of the contest the magicians came and they competed with Prophet Musa (PBUH). Prophet Musa (PBUH) let the magicians go first. They acted like they had the power of God when they turned ropes into snakes and the crowd was amazed. Phiroun was filled with pride. Next Prophet Musa (PBUH) performed his miracle and his snake was the biggest of them all and ate all the other snakes.
The magicians knew this was real and not an illusion and became Muslim. Phiroun threatened to cut off their arms and legs and tie them to a tree and leave them to die if they didn’t go against Prophet Musa (PBUH). They had strong faith and followed the Prophet. Phiroun kept to his word.
Aasiya (the wife of Phiroun who secretly believed in Allah instead of Phiroun) saw this floating basket in the river. She did not have any kids of her own and wanted to adopt Musa (PBUH). Phiroun remembered what the jinn told him and wanted to kill the baby.
One of Phiroun's servants told him to give Musa (PBUH) a rock. If he reaches for it with his left hand they’d kill him. If he took it with his right, he could live. Musa (PBUH) was going to reach for it with his left hand but Allah told him to grab it with his right. Musa (PBUH) obeyed so Phiroun let his wife adopt him.
After that, Prophet Musa (PBUH) asked Phiroun if he could take Bani Israeel to come to Palestine, but Phiroun refused to let his slaves to go with his enemy. Allah sent many more miracles to Egypt but Phiroun never agreed to believe the miracles and become Muslim.
Allah sent hundreds of frogs who infested Egypt. The Egyptians said that they’d believe in Prophet Musa (PBUH)’s message if he got rid of the frogs so he prayed to Allah that they’d go away, and when they did the Egyptians didn’t keep their promise. Then Allah had sent a drought upon the Egyptians and there was no water to grow the crops, Prophet Musa (PBUH) once again made dua but the Egyptians were too arrogant to believe.
Finally after all these miracles, Allah had enough of their arrogance and ordered Prophet Musa (PBUH) to sneak the Bani Israeel to Palestine. Prophet Musa (PBUH) gathered everyone and started their journey to Palestine. When Phiroun found out about this, he sent all of his warriors including himself to stop Prophet Musa (PBUH) from taking the Bani Israeel.
Soon Prophet Musa (PBUH) reached the sea and he panicked on how he would cross, so he prayed to Allah again. Allah told Prophet Musa (PBUH) to strike his cane on the water. He did as he was told and the sea split in half. Prophet Musa (PBUH) and the people of Bani Israeel crossed the sea when it parted. When Phiroun and his army started crossing the sea Prophet Musa (PBUH) and the Bani Israeel had already crossed the to the other side. The sea filled with water again and Phiroun watched his entire army start to drown as the water came closer to him. Phiroun wanted to become Muslim but it was too late.
After they crossed the sea, the Bani Israeel went to Palestine but on the way they did not show full obedience to Prophet Musa (PBUH) and Allah, even though Prophet Musa (PBUH) rescued them from the slavery of Phiroun. Despite the fact that Phiroun was dead, his influence of arrogance was still in them.
Then Allah made it so that when the Egyptians tried to drink water it turned into blood. When Muslims drank it was pure. Prophet Musa (PBUH) made dua that the blood become water again in order to convince them. And again the Egyptians broke their promise. Allah sent a swarm of locusts that ate all the crops and he sent a flood as well, but like the times before, they still didn’t believe.
Allah (SWT) told Prophet Musa (PBUH) to let the arrogant Israelites wander in the desert until they produced a new generation. They kept wandering and everyday they ended up where they started. Prophet Musa (PBUH) told them he would go speak to Allah in the mountains then come back after thirty days.
Prophet Musa (PBUH) came to the same place where he became a Prophet and where he met Allah (SWT) for the first time. Allah (SWT) instructed him to fast for thirty days to purify himself. But on the last day when he was supposed to meet Allah, he broke his fast because he wanted to have nice breath when he talked to Allah.
When he went to Allah (SWT), He told Prophet Musa (PBUH) “Do you not know, Musa, the odour of the faster’s mouth is more scented to Me than a rose. Go back and fast ten days; then come back to Me.” So he did what he was told and did not break his fast this time. The Israelites started becoming restless.
An evil man from the Israelites suggested that Prophet Musa (PBUH) had abandoned them and that they needed a new God. The man told them he could provide them with one. He took the little gold they had and shaped it into a cow. Prophet Haroon (PBUH) tried to stop them but they ignored him and started worshipping the cow. After the ten days Allah (SWT) handed Prophet Musa (PBUH) the Tablets of the Towrah.
When Prophet Musa (PBUH) got the Towrah he was very excited and ran to his tribe right away. When he saw the golden calf, he broke it immediately and tugged on Prophet Haroon (PBUH)s beard. Prophet Haroon (PBUH) replied, “Oh son of my mother, let go of my beard! The fold considered me weak and were about to kill me. So make not the enemies rejoice over me, nor put me among the people who are.”
All of Bani Israeel used the cow as a God other than 70 to 80 elderly pious people including Prophet Haroon (PBUH). Prophet Musa (PBUH) told them that the worshiper's of the cow would be killed by the believers of Allah (SWT). Allah (SWT) decided to forgave them all instead. Prophet Musa (PBUH) told them to go to the mountains and repent to Allah (SWT). Then Prophet Musa (PBUH) showed them another miracle, talking with Allah (SWT) But even the best of the people were arrogant and ungrateful and said they'd only believe if they saw Allah (SWT). This made Allah (SWT) so angry, He made a violent earthquake and lightning to kill the people. Prophet Musa (PBUH) asked Allah (SWT) to bring them back to life, so He brought them back to life. Allah lifted a mountain and told the Israelites to only believe in the Towrah and Him. They agreed out of fright.
Even after all these miracles the Israelites still showed arrogant behavior to Allah (SWT). Allah (SWT) gave them all their three meals everyday. He made Al-Mann (a sweet bread) fall from the sky, He gave them a dove-like bird that was easy to catch, and when the people were thirsty Allah (SWT) told Prophet Musa (PBUH) to strike a stone with his staff, and water would gush out. The Israelites still did not believe.
Prophet Haroon (PBUH) died shortly before Prophet Musa (PBUH). Abu Hurayrah narrated: “The angel of death was sent to Prophet Musa (PBUH). Prophet Musa (PBUH) did not want to die until he felt he had done his job with the Bani Israeel. The angel returned to his Lord and said: ‘You have sent me to a slave who does not want to die.’ Allah (SWT) said, ‘Return to him and tell him to put his hand on the back of an ox and for every hair that will come under it, he will be granted one extra year of life.’ Prophet Musa (PBUH) said: ‘O Lord! What will happen after that?’ Allah (SWT) replied: ‘Then death.’ Prophet Musa (PBUH) said: ‘Let it come now then!’ Prophet Musa (PBUH), however, requested Allah (SWT) to let him die close to the Holy Land so that he would be at a distance of a stones throw from it” Abu Hurayrah added “Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: ‘If I were there, I would show you his grave below the red sand hill on the side of the road.’” This story is reported in Saheeh-ul-Bukhari.

Al- Khidr
One day when Prophet Musa (PBUH) was walking through the village, when he found Al- Khidr he asked him if he could be guided by his knowledge. Al- Khidr replied,"Impossible, for how can you tolerate what is beyond your knowledge." Prophet Musa (PBUH) replied, "If Allah (SWT) wills you shall find me patient." Al- Khidr agreed in one condition. Prophet Musa (PBUH) could not ask any question under any circumstance. The two men started walking and eventually needed to cross the sea, so they asked a poor family to borrow their ship.
When the two were offered free tickets, they got on board. While they were on their way on the ship Al- Khidr broke a hole in the side of the ship. Prophet Musa (PBUH), astonished asked, "Why are you breaking a hole in this poor family's boat?" "Did I not tell you you would not bear with me," replied Al- Khidr. Prophet Musa (PBUH) promised that he would not question him again.
When the two got off the ship, they passed by a village where they saw a little boy. Al-Khidr picked up a rock, and whipped the rock at the boy killing him instantly. Prophet Musa (PBUH) again asked why, and again apologized. Al- Khidr said Prophet Musa (PBUH) had one more chance, then he would have to leave.
Then the two of them came to a broken wall and repaired it without any asking for any money. Prophet Musa (PBUH) asked why. Al- Khidr replied," Did I not tell you that you would not bear with me?"Al- Khidr said, "Now we must part, but first I will explain to you my actions."
"I damaged the ship because there is an evil king, who stole every undamaged ship. I killed the boy because he troubled everyone around him and his parents prayed to replace him with someone else. When the boy died another was born. I repaired the wall and asked for no pay because there was hidden money there that belonged to poor orphans that their father kept for them. And if anyone found out, they'd steal it. Now do you see why I told you could not bear with me?"
