The National Security Agency (NSA) is the main agency that collects data for foreign intelligence and counter intelligence.
The main goals of the NSA are countering terrorism, military aid, monitoring the cyber world, defending against foreign espionage, and warning leaders.

The CSS is a joint organization of the NSA that links the NSA to other U.S. military cryptanalysis components.
The NSA is the main producer and manager of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT).
SIGINT provides information to America's leaders in order to protect the country, save lives, and advance U.S. goals and alliances internationally.
We need funding for the technologies SIGINT requires to get this information (communications systems, radars, and weapons systems).

Provides strategic and tactical information to our fighters and bombers
Collaborates with Military Intelligence agencies on military related issues
Protects troops by giving them real time information durings raids, or operations
NSA employs the most military personnel in the intelligence community
Stops spread of WMDs (weapons of mass destruction)
Monitoring the Cyber World
Foreign Espionage
Gather information about foreign activities pertaining to the safety of the U.S. government.
Protect our information from being infiltrated and exposed.
We need more funding to improve our collection, decoding, translation and analysis of information for foreign intelligence and counterintelligence.
Warning Leaders/ IA
With the information gathered through the SIGINT and the Information Assurance (IA), the NSA can warn leaders about critical events.
Information Assurance Directorate (IAD) provides:
cyber security technologies, products, and services that allow customers and clients network security.
engineering solutions that give clients security solutions.
More funding would allow greater efficiency in providing these products and services.
Cybersecurity is a vital part of our economy, lives, and security of the nation and we need to prevent anyone from trying to destroy it.
With the increasing threat of cyber attacks, our cybersecurity defenses are even more important and with more funding, we can strenghten them.
Also by monitoring the web, we can track and put a stop to any illegal activities.
Four Main Spending Categories:
Data collection
Data processing and exploitation
Data analysis
Management, facilities, and support

The NSA has many types of expenses, such as Computer Network Operations, Enterprise IT Systems, and Enterpirse Management.
