Project Goals
What is Drupal?
Free, open-source content management system.
Maintained and developed by more than 1,000,000 users and developers, allowing for endless customizations.
The Drupal project's principles encourage modularity, standards, collaboration, and ease-of-use.
How it Works
The
core
consists of infrastructure (menus, user account management, file uploading capabilities, Drupal admin interface) plus modules that provide specific site functionality.
The site’s
database
stores site configuration info as well as the site’s content.
There are over 4,000
modules
available for download, from those that display content in a variety of ways to those that solve specific problems.
Themes
are used to design site.
Taxonomy Lists
Associates categories, tags, or other controlled or uncontrolled vocabularies with your content.
Taxonomy/vocabulary lists are made up of “terms” and are hierarchical in structure.
Views
Views allow you to:
query your database in simple and complex ways
display the results
manipulate how the users can view the content

They are built using content types, their associated fields, and taxonomy terms
1. documents are available
2. content is intellectually accessible
Double and single entry accounts have been broken up into individual transaction lines.
Double Entry Folio is broken down into the Debit and Credit side (left and right)
Each transaction is entered separately using the double entry line content type and the associated fields
The first four fields are then used to reconstruct the page associating the line with correct account book, page, side, and line order
Which results in a reconstructed account page that can be searched by transaction line
A search for 'bacon' would then produce any line with the word 'bacon' that can be downloaded
Digital Edition
