Healthy Church: The Authority of God Humanity was created by God alone The Creator has the power The Creator exercises that power in judgment Colossians 1:16-17
“16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Romans 9:20-23
“20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? 22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory” The Glory of God In our creation In our living In our end The true gospel begins with the power and purposes of God.

1. He is the one with the power to judge all of humanity and He will exercise that judgment as He has promised.

2. The chief concern of God is His glory and there is no greater affront to His glory than sin. So, He will judge all sin and all those who have sinned.
