Transcript of Copy of Moodle Vs. Google

What do we want Moodle to do? Google vs. Moodle Let's Look at Some
Opinions on the Web Plus...
It's already set up
Some teachers and students are already using it
And it's FREE!
(cc) photo by Metro Centric on Flickr Can Google Sites already do this?? Student Pages Secure Login Teacher and Course Pages Student, Teacher and Parent Email A place to store files A place where teachers can post, homework, assignments and syllabi Discussion Boards Online Colaboration E-Portfolios Shared Documents Online Access to Courses in case of School Closure YES! Let's watch a little clip that explains what Google can do for us
Moodle and Google
are Cloud Based But I guarantee Google
will be around longer. Multi-Platform Accessible from Anywhere Available on Mobile Devices What is Moodle?
And What can it Do? Do we need to go with both Moodle and Google Apps if they basically do the same things? What are the advantages of going with both? If it only took this guy a night to solve this problem; I could probably start building the google school site ASAP, instead of rebuilding Sharepoint. It could be parent-ready in the same amount of time. Using both Google and Moodle could be the best option... http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/edu/sell.html Thank you for your time.
I hope this presentation
helped you get a better
idea of what will work
best for us Maybe we can set up
Google Apps now and then incorporate it into Moodle once we get it. And when students graduate they can continue using all the skills they learned in Google Apps. More and more companies are running Google Apps to conduct business. typing
