WHO AM I?
Transcript of WHO AM I?
design by Dóri Sirály for Prezi
Over the last 23 years, I have managed to do the following things:
Study more than I expected
Find what I enjoy
And how do I see my future?
I was born on March 9th, 1992 in Bratislava. I spent my youth as an only child in a little village called Báhoň, where I attended elementary school.
I was accepted to Lycée Metodova in Bratislava which is a Franco-Slovak high school with a syllabus focused on natural sciences. With 20 French lessons every week, I became
fluent in French
Three years ago, I started my university degree. With the vision of joining Médecins Sans Frontières, I am burning the midnight oil at the
2nd Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague
During my high school studies, I had the opportunity to participate in exchange programs with students from France twice.
I spent one semester in Québec.
I also experienced summer school in Oxford for three weeks.
Having a good time
Check out some of my skills
I received my
when I was 18 years old.
I took the exam "Diplôme approfondi de langue française" and obtained my
certificate in 2012.
In 2013, I
succeeded in passing the CAE
(Certificate in advanced English) exam. I received a grade B.

Work and volunteer
8/2013 - Alma Farm, Breno
I participated in a volunteer project in Switzerland. We were cutting trees, building fences for Scottish cows and had a great deal of fun!
9/2012 - Close to Nature, Eskifjordur
This project started my love for Iceland! We were picking up trash, cutting grass and chasing sheep. We learnt a lot about Icelandic culture and enjoyed sharing our experience. It was the most beautiful month of my life.
7/2012 - 8/2012 - Bagel&Coffee Store, Bratislava
I worked in this healthy fast- food location in the city center of Bratislava. I prepared meals and dealt directly with customers. It was a nice experience which taught me to be polite in every situation.
6/2014 - 10/2014 - Hotel Moods, Prague
6/2011 - Guest house Baske, Trenčianske Teplice
I helped in this little guest house during the ArtFilm Festival. I was booking rooms, providing tourists with information, and occasionally, I helped in the kitchen.
I would love to join Médecins Sans Frontières. I study medicine and volunteer because I believe I can try to make this world a better place.
At the same time, I grew up in a village. I find it relaxing getting my hands dirty in a garden.
I am applying for
WWOOF in Alaska because
I feel that during summer, my brain needs to turn off. I need some really good fresh air and to do something good for this world. Doing this, I can get ready for a new school year.
Plus, I have learned...
... how to grow my own vegetables in a community garden.
I really enjoyed working as a receptionist in this fancy hotel. I helped our guests make their stay in Prague unforgettable. I have also learned how to deal with their unpredictable behaviour and extraordinary requests.
