The French and
Indian War
Conflicting Claims 1750
Both Great Britain and France laid claim to the Ohio Valley, a piece of land, that stretched from the Ohio River to the Appalachians to the Mississippi River. The French sent troops to drive out the British which resulted in the British declaring war.
Britain Wins the War leading to the Treaty of Paris
Britain sent more troops and supplies to the colonies and eventually won the war. The war ended with the Treaty of Paris which said Britain now owned most of Canada, all land east of the Mississippi River, and Florida.

Events that led to Revolution
The War was fought between Britain and France and witnessed the Americans joining forces with the British against the French and Indians.
