What techniques do they use in their struggle for power?
Does Snowball represent a morally legitimate political alternative to the corrupt leadership of Napoleon?

Napoleon- who symbolize Joseph Stalin
Napoleon is a functional character and the main antagonism in George Orwell's "Animal Farm", who was based on Joseph Stalin, who ruled the Soviet Union for over 35 years.
Snowball represent Leon Trotsky
Snowball is the pig who challenges Napoleon for control of Animal Farm after the Rebellion. Based on Leon Trotsky, Snowball is intelligent, passionate, eloquent, and less subtle and devious than his counterpart, Napoleon.


Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
No animal shall wear clothes.
No animal shall sleep in a bed.
No animal shall drink alcohol.
No animal shall kill any other animal.
All animals are equal.

Snowball
Snowball is the pig who challenges Napoleon for control of Animal Farm after the Rebellion.
Snowball is portrayed in a generally positive light
He does seem to care for the animals more than Napoleon.
Snowball also writes the first version of the Seven Commandments.
Snowball is eventually forced out of the farm when Napoleon uses his guard dogs to attack Snowball.


Napoleon uses threatening as a weapon of his power.
