An animal cell is like the U.S. Government because each has different sections working together to help it function.
Homeland Security is like a cell membrane because it oversees the security of the country including what/who comes in and out of the states.
Cytoskeleton
Government departments are like the cytoskeleton because they form the structure of the government.
Cytoplasm
Law is like the cytoplasm because it is the fluid that flows through every section of the government.
Mitochondria
People are like mitochondria because the government can't function without them.

Ribosomes
Taxpayers are like ribosomes because they finance the government.
Golgi Body
The Internal Revenue Service is like the Golgi Body because it packages money for the government.
Endoplasmic Reticulum
The federal government is like the endoplasmic reticulum because it sends money to state governments.
Vacuoles
The Federal Reserve Bank is like vacuoles because it stores money.
Lysosomes
The Budget Committee is like lysosomes because it gets rid of unnecessary programs.
Cell Membrane
Nucleus
The U.S. Constitution is like a nucleus because it controls how things should work as a country.
