DID YOU KNOW...
A female Fennec Fox are pregnant for about seven weeks and have 2-5 young. They can breed twice a year but most breed once a year.
It is 2.5 feet long including the tail which is 18 to 31 centimeters long. They have sandy colored fur to blend in with the desert. They have fur on the bottom of their feet to protect them from the hot sand. The Fennec Fox has very large ears to keep them cool.
The Fennec Fox are eaten and hunted by snakes, hyena, jackal, desert cats and big birds of prey.
The Fennec Fox eats rodents, bird eggs, reptiles, and insects. They don't need to drink water because they get enough moisture from the things they eat.
The Fennec Fox are found in the Sahara desert of North Africa. Fennec fox are nocturnal. They hunt at night and rest in burrows during the day with other Fennec Fox.
