A bibliography will tell you...
Who wrote the information
(or sometimes which organisation)
What the article, book or webpage is called
When it was written
It's important because...
It shows where you got your information from

and that means...
Your work has more
authority
(you look smarter!)

People who are interested can read more about the subject

Your teacher can check that you haven't copied (
plagiarism
)

A Very Short Introduction to KHS by Ms Saxby

The school’s entry in the world’s second most famous encyclopedia states that:

Kingham Hill School is an independent Christian school based on the
Church of England denomination. It was founded by local Christian
landowner Charles Edward Baring Young in 1886 as a home for
deprived boys and was designed by the architect William Howard
Seth-Smith. The school is located in Oxfordshire near the village of
Kingham and the town of Chipping Norton. ("Kingham Hill School.")

Many distinguished teachers have roamed its grounds but the current head is perhaps the most joyful “I’m full of joy” (Joyous Kingham).

The older students attend the sixth form which is shown to be the best dressed section of school, with 100% more style than for instance year 7 (Chapman 26).

High levels of decorum are upheld by Mr Rob Jones, who describes one particular situation “Right, it was like this, no actually I can’t tell you it’s too outrageous”.

And that’s everything you need to know about KHS.
