Hi, Today we will be telling you about the Respiratory system, The purpose,How it works,Nutritional needs, Interesting facts and a diagram! We will also show a video on the Respiratory System. At the end there will be a game so listen carfully!
We need the Respiratory system to breathe. The Respiratory system pumps oxygen to the body so we can stay alive and if we don't breathe our brains will shut down and we would die.
The Respiratory system works when air goes in the nose and mouth.Tiny hairs in the nose cleans the large particles in the air like dust. Mucus traps particles and keeps the cells in your nose moist. The air then moves to the trachea also known as the windpipe. The trachea branches into two bronchus tubes that go to the lungs. The bronchus tubes breaks into smaller and smaller tubes called bronchioles that branch into smaller air sacs called alveoli. In the alveoli the oxygen from the air is transferred to the blood. Then the carbon dioxide in the blood is removed.
You should avoid smoking. Every cigarette contains over 4,000 harmful substances. It can make your lung tissues harder. If you don't smoke beware of second hand smoking!
Don't eat lots of junk food or fat food it can give a asthma attack!
You should exercise daily. people who have respiratory system diseases tend to avoid exercising.
When your dehydrated your lungs expand and your lungs become weak. Drinking between 6-8 glasses of water will help flush any toxins off your respiratory system.
Your right lung is slightly larger then the left lung.
smoking cuts 5 minutes of our life.
A single cigarette contains over 4,000 chemicals which can damage your lungs so deeply inside.
our lungs are like a car engine. when you run you get heated like a engine.
The surface area of the lungs is about the same size as a tennis court.
Hiccups are caused by various things and occur due to sudden movements in the diaphragm.
