Twitter How did it all start? Twitters` founders are Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams and Biz Stone. These people started from the idea of building a sending SMS system to several people. It was meant to be used in the company they were working at the time, Odeo. The name was inspired from , a photo-sharing service. Twitter was created in March 2006 and it was launched 4 months later. How does it work? Twitter is the second largest social media network used in the world. It can be used to send messages to a group of people.
It has an availability of 140 characters to spread your ideas and thoughts. Why 140 characters? Because an SMS has 160 characters and the last 20 are for the username. You create an account and you start tweeting. You can ”follow” your friends, coworkers, public figures, international stars and even companies or agencies.
