Set at 2 to 3 years away from widespread adoption Learning Analytics across disciplines George Siemens.(2011) Learning analytics refers to the interpretation of a wide range of data to study student engagement, performance, and progress in practice, with the goal of using what is learned to revise curricula, teaching, and assessment in real time. Horizon Report.(2012) learners data metrics analytics intervention Through an analysis and interpretation of the actions as behavior, interaction, participation in Activities, posting, discussion forum etc., staff and faculty have measurable values for based-decision making and the application of strategies. Analytics offers information in real time, and suggests alternatives for optimize curriculum and assess academic progress. (learning as a service) Identify students who might be At-Risk and possibility intervention programs strategies. The trend could be Social learning Analytics. (The vision include social network analysis, discourse analysis, content analysis, disposition analysis and context analysis.) This is an online, interactive gatekeeper training program that teaches students (1) identify students signs of psychological distress (including depression and thoughts of suicide); (2) approach students to discuss their concern; and (3) make referrals to university counseling centers.
