A Flair For The Dramatic
And Pierce The Veil Was Born...
Pierce The Veil was formed by The Fuentes Brothers, Vic and Mike, after leaving Before Today (Early Times)
So Why Pierce The Veil?
I chose to do my project on Pierce The Veil for a variety of reasons. I love the band, I've watched almost all of the interviews they've ever done and listen to their music daily. But I chose them mostly because they've saved my life countless times. If it wasn't for their music and inspiration, I wouldn't be here today.
By: Alyssa Wells
Tony met Vic at a guitar shop right when Pierce The Veil was being formed.
Jaime and Tony had previously been in a band together in their high school years, so he joined PTV as the bassist.
A Flair For The Dramatic was PTV's first full-length album. It was released on June 26, 2007. It included 11 original songs written by the Fuentes brothers and a cover of Beat It by Michael Jackson on the ITunes extended version.
He can play guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, piano, synthesizer and the lap steel guitar.
He performed as a solo artist for a while, but was also involved in a side project called Isles and Glaciers with his brother Mike, Craig Owens and Jonny Craig. This was only a temporary project, so it didn't last long.
As both of the Fuentes Brothers were extremely musical, Mike also plays many intruments but specializes in drums.
Mike was also involved in Isles and Glaciers with Vic, but his main project besides PTV is Mikey Wiskey Hands, his on going rap career.
Jaime Alberto Preciado
Born on May 17th, 1986, in San Diego, California. His family originates from Guadalajara.
He plays bass and sings most of the backup vocals for PTV.
He was previously in a band called Trigger My Nightmare but also worked on solo stuff for a while.
Tony (or commonly known as Tony the Turtle) was born on February 25th, 1986.
He loves Star Wars.
PTV's second studio album, released on June 21st, 2010 with Equal Vision Records.
This album included 13 original songs, and featured artists Johnny Craig and Jeremy Mckinnon from the band A Day To Remember.
There is a lot of Latin influence on various tracks from this album and some of the most meaningful lyrics from PTV to date.
Collide With The Sky
This album was released July 10th, 2012 through Fearless records.
It features guest vocals by Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens, Jason Butler of Letlive and Lindsay Stamey of Oh No Fiasco.
This album has held the number 1 spot on the US Rock Albums, US Hard Rock Albums and US Alternative Albums Charts.
