Started his career as a roadie and backup dancer and MC for Digital Underground
Both of his parents and most of his family were a part of the Black Panther Party
In September of 1996, Tupac was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting.
Cristopher George Latore Wallace
At the age of 12 he started selling illegal drugs
Released his debut album Ready to Die in 1994 and became a central figure in the East Coast hip hop
In March of 1997, Wallace was killed by an unknown assailant.
In 1992, Los Angeles Police Department arrest Rodney King after a high speed pursuit.
Many emcees took advantage and responded to the riots through music.
Dr. Dre Featuring Snoop Dogg
The Day the Niggaz Took Over
In response, L.A. went into a six day riot.
Originally form by Eric Wright aka Eazy E.

Wright started Ruthless Records by selling drugs out of Compton

Did not have much success until working with Dr.Dre and Ice Cube.

The group eventually formed NWA adding DJ Yella, The Arabian Prince, and D.O.C.
