REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES
This chapter presents the related literature and studies after the through and in depth search done by the researchers. This will also present the synthesis of the art, theoretical and conceptual framework to fully understand the research to be done.
THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
We the researchers who study On-The-Job-Training are experiencing excitement and eagerness as we train to
become a part of a company that required in our field in
College of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
The 2nd year Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management school year 2013-2014 who study in Taguig City University is required to complete their On-the-Job Training in Housekeeping in the Hotel and need to complete the 300 hours.
Statement of the Problem
Challenges Encountered by 2nd year On-the-Job Training Students of Bachelor of science in Hotel and restaurant Management in Taguig City University for school Year 2013-2014
1. What is the demographic profile of the 2nd year students of Hotel and Restaurant Management in terms of:
• Civil status
2. What are the impacts of experiential learning in the student`s development?
3. What is the level of competency of the 2nd year practicumers take an On-The-Job training program in terms of:
4. What is mostly challenges does a practicumers encountered?
5. What is your possible recommendation to the next batch of Hotel and Restaurant Management students who will undergo On-the-job training program?
1. There is no significant difference between the respondents and the challenges encountered by 2nd year On-The-Job training students.
2. There is no significant difference between the respondents and the level of competency in challenges encountered by 2nd year On-The-Job training students.
Base our conceptual framework you will see at in order to achieve the output of the study the following processes should be under then what is the demographic profile of the 2nd year student of Hotel and Restaurant Management in terms of age, sex, civil status and city address.
Scope and Delimitation of the study
Out of 300 2nd year students in Bachelor of Science inHotel and
Restaurant Management had their On-the-Job Training.100 students of Taguig City University were used as a sample in conducting the survey. This study limits its coverage on the 2nd year students’ school . Its main purpose is to identify the common problems that they encountered and possible solutions regarding these problems. This study considers every aspect of students’ personal informationwhich has an impact on their academic performances such as their educational background, sex, age, civil status and home location. Each of the respondents are given same questionnaires to answer. This study focuses on the 2nd year students of school year 2013 to 2014.

The research will utilized the descriptive method of search data will be gather the mean and frequency distribution will be derived for the descriptive of the variables. Research Method Used
– Distribute questionnaires of 3rd year students, who undergo On the Job Training last 2013 – 2014.
– We used internet to search examples and gathered information about our topic.
– We went to National Library to search books as a reference and guide in our thesis.
– We share our knowledge to provide ideas about our topic.
• Read thesis and other studies for re-new graduates of Taguig City University.

The Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management students On-the-Job Trainees in Taguig City University in formal development training designed to help trainees to keep up with new knowledge and techniques in their field, improve their skills, knowledge and continue their professional growth. The objective of the On-the-Job Training system is to provide opportunities for students to acquire new skills and ideas that will lead to the changes in performance.
