Ecstasy Ecstasy or MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) is a entactogenic drug of the phenethylamine and amphetamine families. MDMA has been used for psychotherapy in which therapists like Leo Zeff, Claudio Naranjo and George Greer used in their practice. One of their patients had been suffering from Terminal Cancer and this drug gave them long lasting pain relief. Ecstasy has many temporary effects such as:
Strong sense of self-acceptance
Diminished aggression, anxiety, fear and jealousy
Feelings of compassion, empathy and forgiveness
Strong self-confidence
Intensive Perception
Stimulation and hyperactivity
Increased Energy, Alertness and Motivation
Decreased pain sensitivity The effects of ecstasy might sound good, but the after effects might not:
Anxiety
Depression
Headaches or Migraines
Impaired focus and motivation
Dizziness
Insomnia
Physical pains (Excessive movement)
Fatigue
Restlessness By Liam Gould The End Ecstasy became criminalized in 1985 making the use and possession of the drug illegal. MDMA was used by several therapists to help there cancer patients. However, there are alternatives to help patients such as EDMA/MDMC.
