Run There are three lanes in each color zone for participants to choose from. - Fit to be Dyed by Targeted News Service The Color Run is "The Happiest 5K on the Planet" Last year 54 Color Run events took place and this year there are planned to be at least 100 events. Each participant gets a Color Run packet before they run. It contains a t-shirt, a running bib, and a color packet. (Squillace) There is just one rule throughout The Color Run; to wear white. At each kilometer, the participants reach a "color zone" where they are doused with a different color of natural, nontoxic paint. The Color Run

22 Feb 2013 The Color Run is a popular, nationwide series of 5K races where thousands of participants are doused with a different color at each kilometer. (Mark) (Squillace) (Harper) Participants can race as individuals or in teams. (Mark) The Color Run attracts thousands of runners and walkers. (Harper) At the end of the race, all of the colors are used simultaneously. The volunteers wait at the sides of the color zones, then spray the color at the participants. In the year 2012, 600,000 people participated in The Color Run. The Color Run isn't a timed race where people try to win, it's a race for everyone to have fun.
