The CPU
The CPU is mainly the brain of the computer. Without it the computer wouldn't know what to do. Also knows and see's what computer is doing.
The Heat Sink
Heat sinks are used to cool down parts in the computer. Mostly the CPU and video,graphic cards that generate heat.
The RAM
The RAM is the short term memory in which essential and in progress files are loaded.Also the RAM is erased when the computer is shut down so be careful.
The Hard Drive
The Hard Drive is the main storage area for the computer. Its capacity is based on GB (gigabytes) and TB (terabytes).
Ports and Slots
Slots are used for single sliding component or sd cards.Ports are used for sockets and plugs.
Power Supply Unit
The power supply unit provides the power from an electrical outlet and converts it from AC to DC. So without the PSU the computer wouldn't function.
The Battery
The battery is like the heart of the computer. Without it some computers wouldn't work. The battery powers a chip called RTC ( Real Time Clock). Which the chip always runs, whether the computer is turned off. And every time you turn on the computer, the RTC will check the real time and date.
The Chassis
The chassis is the hard case that protects the computer's internal components. And also a has a power source and regulates the electricity used by the computer.
Optical/Disk Drives
A optic disk is a flat, usually polycarbonate. Which data is stored in the forms of pits within the flat surface.Includes CDs,DVDs, and mini disks.
Graphic Support
The graphic support translates image data from a computer to format that displays it. Some computers have an accelerated graphic port or a PCI express, a very high speed connection used by the graphics card.
The Keyboard and Mouse
The keyboard and mouse are like the guiding system of the computer. The mouse helps navigate and interact with the computer. The keyboard is for entering information.
The visual display
The visual display show images that generate in the computer. Without it you wouldn't know what the computer is showing you. It includes LCD, plasma,CRT, and video projectors.
