What is going on in the community?
Are their concerts to attend? What about museums, restaurants and theaters?
Perhaps you are more interested in outdoor activities. Are their hikes, or water areas near the campus?
What kind of clubs and activities are available on campus?
Many colleges have intramural and non competitive sports that you can play. For fun and health.
Sports
Are you interested in playing sports at the college level?
There are many different competitive levels.
Consider if the school you are interested in has your sport and how they are ranked within the NCAA for your sport.
Food and Housing
If you are going to live on campus there is a lot to consider?
Is on campus housing even available?
Does the school require Freshman to live on campus?
Are the buildings old and run down? Have the recently been remolded or renovated?
What is the food like on campus? Is their variety? Are their options to fit your diet?
Greek Life
Greek Life refers to Fraternities and Sororities?
Is this important to you?
Is there a specific fraternity or sorority that you want to pledge?
